The founder and mentor at Shanti MMC, Joy brings a unique synthesis of an outer mechanical and inner alchemical blend to massage therapy. Her experience began during a professional billiards career that began in 1997 when her mentor introduced her to the inner dynamics of meditation, massage, transformational breath and Tai chi. The applications of which led to a world championship billiards title in 2006. “It has been my great and fortunate opportunity to have worked with so many educators across the country who have passed along the art of several healing modalities and philosophies.” In 2008, Joy converted her awareness training into a program for licensed massage therapist and is dedicated to passing that experience along to others. Joy maintains a very active practice seeing close to 1000 client visits annually. She is a 1992 graduate of the school of Engineering Technology at the University of Dayton, a 2002 graduate of the Dayton School of Medical Massage and has aligned with NMT Midwest, a continuing education provider for precision neuromuscular massage therapy since 2003.
